I am running MAC OS X 10.5.6. I recently had to make a clean install. After getting everything running - I leave the computer on 24/7, all it would take to restart the computer with the screen saver on or off was to move the mouse. Also when I clicked on a sub menu such as on email, all I had to do was click and the menu would stay displayed.

Now the properties have changed, to restart the after the screen saver is engaged, I must depress the mouse wheel, as movement of the mouse will not restart the screen. In addition, to display sub menus, I must keep the mouse button continuously displayed. If I let up on the left mouse button, the sub menu disappears.

I am using a Logitech wireless mouse, specific model number unknown, but it one of the cheaper ones.

Any thoughts on this discrepancy would be appreciated.

Thanks
