Hello,

I have bought an iphone off ebay and after waiting a few weeks its finally with the seller. Now they have it in stock, but they say they need to take it to the network to be unlocked (as in to an optus or vodaphone store, one of the australian telcos) - however, they have also said that it is an international model from the U.S

So, how is an australian phone shop able to unlock a foreign 3g iphone, is this legitimate? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
