Shiira 1.0 for Mac OS X 10.4 released

The Shiira Project has released Shiira 1.0 for Mac OS X 10.4. 10.3.9 users can use Shiira 0.9.5. 10.3.0 - 10.3.8 users can use Shiira 0.9.4. Those with older versions of Mac OS X cannot use Shiira.

I'm trying out Shiira 1.1 right now, and it seems to kick ass. I might have a new favorite here.

I've never touched Shiira up until now, despite hearing good things about it. Certainly a painless transition from Safari.

I've just been using it today for a few hours,seems pretty good to me.

I've used it before. I thought it was a very solid browser. I just couldn't see any reason to use it over Safari or Firefox.

Downloaded Shiira and had a play

The F8 thing is pretty cool, but it takes way too long before it does anything, but could be useful in future releases,

generally felt much more responsive, but unsurprisingly loading pages wasn't any quicker than safari


In summery, a great start, showing of a couple of neat ideas, lots more tweakable bits and bobs than safari. A great start, one to watch
