Shipping 11 days????

Hello all,
I just ordered my MBP (YAY) and it says it is going to take 11 days to arrive. Is this true??? Or are they just playing it safe? I have a friend and he said that his came quickly, and he lives near me. So are they just exaggerating? Or is it really going to take 11 days?

In all the experiences I've had with Apple's shipping they usually overestimate how long it will take to ship. Normally the items come a couple days before the official estimation.

I just got pretty much the basic MBP. No programs installed, to extra RAM. So.. It's not really custom.
 
I ordered mine custom (different hard drive) on Wednesday (the day before Black Friday), and it shipped this morning from Shanghai. Not sure how long it's going to take to get here, but hopefully it serves as some sort of reference.
 
Are you in the U.S? That would be weird if they shipped mine from out of country...

I just hope I get it before next Saturday. (I was to cheap to pay for faster shipping..lol)

I'm sure it won't take three months... Although, since Black Friday was just yesterday, they could be pretty clogged up..



But it's my funeral if it comes slow, because I was to cheap to pay for better shipping..:(

Anyone else order there's yesterday with just the free shipping?

I knew all along that the week after I bought my MBP would be the hardest!
 
Prepared for Shipment for how LONG???

Finally it says "Prepared for Shipment" but it's been like that all day... Hoping maybe tonight that will change. If it's coming from China, or somewhere over there, that's probably why it never changes status over the day. (Right now there all sleeping)

Anyone else awaiting their Mac???
