Hi guys, I was just wandering if anyone has sent an iphone from Canada to US via Ups or CanadaPost , and if custom charges or other taxes, etc. have to be paid?
I need an unlocked Iphone that I can buy at apple.ca and get it delivered to my friend in Vancouver and then he will send me it to Texas.
Will it work out?

getting unlocked ip4

since none of the apple online stores will ship out of their particular country, completing a straw purchase and forwarding it on to you is the only way you can get your unlocked ip4 (other than going there yourself or buying on ebay)

Texas is rather far from any Canadian apple store:) So going there is not an option.

will it be really an unreliable option to send ip4 to Texas via my canadian friend thru normal post sevices? has someone tried it?

should be no problem if you really trust your friend & most importantly that the package has to be insured, just in case it gets lost on the way....
