I finally made the decision to switch to Mac and I ordered a new MBP 2.4Ghz which I did on Thursday afternoon. I even managed to get an edu discount with my son being in school

I want to know how many people from the UK have ordered a MBP, when are they shipping and when will they be delivered.

Here is a copy of my order status:

Not yet shipped
Estimated Shipping: 12 Jun, 2007
Estimated Delivery:

Yesterday the delivery date was 21 - 22 June but this morning it blank

I dont know how I am going to be able to manage to wait this long.

Thanks

Mine has done the same:
Estimated Shipping: 11 Jun, 2007
Estimated Delivery:

Was estimated for delivery on 20-21st.

I guess we just have to cross our fingers and hope it isn't an indication of a delay. I don't think I'll have any hair left trying to wait until the original estimates!

Edit: Glossy Screen how shows 5 days build time rather than 3... maybe they're awaiting stock :( Did you order glossy?

Just checked the apple site this morning and my MBP has shipped on the 9 June and delivery will be the 19 June. Why does it take so long for these to be delivered?

Mine is still blank... perhaps because it was BTO it's going to take a little longer, who knows. Still, happy yours has shipped :)

Apple don't 'rush' products to you, instead I'd imagine they're using least cost routing of packages. The products go from hub to hub in various different parts of the world before winding up with a local carrier somewhere in the UK :) It's just one of those things. If Apple had an option for faster shipping then I'd use it, but they don't for us UK folk unless there are special circumstances.
