people that have ordered one of the new imacs off the apple store, please tell me how long ur shipping is takeing and wether its stock, or BTO.

ship date 15th and delivery date 19th for core2duo imac with 2gb of ram, also ordered 2gb ipod nano, the nano also has the same dates.
 
24" iMac - With 2gb ram, 7600GT Graphics and Wireless keyboard/mouse; Ship date estimated 21st September - delivery date 28th September
 
20" with 256 graphics and 2GB RAM - ship on the 15th and delivery by 19th hopefully! (Am in the UK)

shipping the 15th!!! wow, thats a long ways away. all thoughs are BTO though, so.... Stock wouldnt be as long.:eek:
 
I ordered a 24" on Wednesday and It said 5-7 days to ship and then less than 5 for it to arrive. From what I understand, if you order anything besides the basic 24" model then it will take 5-7 days, a base model 24" will take 2-4 days. Mine is shipped 15th arrive on the 22nd.

its the 17 inch model, i cant wait. i wonder is they will upgrade my nano if a new version comes out
 
Had my 20" Core Duo iMac replaced by a 20" Core 2 Duo iMac, which shifted the delivery dates somewhat - ship by 15th, deliver by 19th.

Mine's built-to-order - it's got the 256MB video card and 2GB of RAM in it - but I think these dates might be the case for all UK iMacs.

I hope it comes sooner but I'm not hopeful! I ordered the first one on 21 August... first Mac is a long time coming!
 
Has anyone actually received a 20" BTO iMac? I am eagerly waiting for my first Mac to be shipped, and I am curious about when they are actually being shipped.

I ordered a 20" BTO iMac on August 31 before the iMacs with Core 2 Duo were released. My order still hadn't shipped by Sept. 6, so I was fortunate enough to have Apple upgrade my order. However, the expected ship date moved from the 8th to the 14th. I cannot complain about the change in expected ship date, but it would be nice if it shipped today :p

It's scheduled to ship the 18th and arrive the 25th. Does anyone have any experience w/ the free ground shipping? Does it really take that long to ship the computer or is it just an overstatement? It will be shipping to California.

I did standard shipping and it's going FedEx with 2-day delivery.Apple's pretty good about this type of shipping.

It's not exactly TRUE 2-day shipping but when it comes from Shanghai China to Seattle it's a direct flight making it 2-day.

If it was picked up by FedEx in Shanghai that means it went straight to the Shanghai airport facility from the factory.That's what IP Direct distribution means.

just did a order status update - it landed in indianopolis about 4am and i will have it tomorrow by 10:30 according to fedex site:D :D :D

Like others, my BTO iMac just changed from "estimated ship 9/20" to "Oh that? It left yesterday (9/13)"

So long iMac G4 15", hello beautiful!

Do not pay for faster shipping

It does nothing but make your account lighter... Ordered on the 6th BTO fastest CPU, 2gigs and 250HDrive and wireless KB and Mouse... was to shipp on the 15th and be delivered on the 20th... shipped on the 12th and will be here tomorrow the 15th at 10:30am... while I am at work... and leaving for Palm Springs for the weekend... I may take it with me... kind of kidding...:eek:

Definitely take it with you: With the built in isight you can take some great vacation photos and post them here!
