I currently have a 128GB iPhone 13 with about 65GB free space. I was thinking the 128GB iPhone 16 would be fine, but then thought about the new spatial photos/video feature...

You never know what we'll have in 10+ years. Maybe we'll all have Vision Pros or some other third-party device that can play these back and wish we had them. I think it makes sense to start capturing spatial videos/photos now, especially for important moments you care about...even if you aren't able to make use of them yet.

Is a 128GB iPhone fine for this? I do use iCloud and Optimized iPhone Storage, so maybe local storage is a bit irrelevant. Also, can you remove the spatial effect from these later, similar to how we can remove the video from Live Photos? I assume they're essentially just two video/photo streams, so theoretically should just be able to keep the "main" one?
