Y is there no iPad apps for shopping ie tesco, asda and argos just to name a few?

I would love to see some as I used them all the time on my iPod touch

There is an excellent Waitrose - Ocardo one. And only just recently Tesco has done one, but it's called recipes or something like that as it's tied into a recipe program for some stupid reason.

It's an icon with an red/yellow apple on the front.

The Tesco app is excellent, because it is actually a recipe guide too.

For clothes, shop style is an excellent app. There's an Amazon app, and I'm sure others too.
