short cuts + emoji not working

a few days ago, in my iPhone 5 with ios 6.1.3

i found my short cuts (all with embedded emoji) previously working fine now stopped.

I did a hardware reset and its now working. Another forum says this is a temporary fix and the bad will return in a few days!

I also updated to ios 6.1.4

I deleted and retyped one of my short cuts with an embedded emoji. I got an odd error prompt when i tried to save the short cut: "Shortcut cannot contain any Emoji"

I was always able to embed emoji with short cuts before.
