In case anyone is interested, I went, and bought two headsets to try out along with the wired headset that comes with the iPhone 5S, but I didn't want to spend too much. The Bose units available that some really like were out of my price range, and what I wanted the headset for (Calls). The wired headphones that came with the iPhone 5S were very clear sounding at both ends, but did not like the wires nor the way one has to insert the headset into ones ear. I have 68 years old ears with some audible issues, so I needed something that was as clear as possible for both the caller, and the receiver.
I purchased the Plantronics Marque A170 first. Though small, and easy to place in the ear, the sound was some what robotic according to my Brother across country. If one tried to increase the sound level, the crackling could be heard, and was unpleasant. Had to keep it in the mid level.
Purchase the Plantronics Voyager Pro HD, even after reading some so, so reviews, and some good reviews. Concerned a bit, but when the headset arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that I had no hissing, not crackling sound. My brother said that is was very close to the wired Apple headset that came with the iPhone 5S. Very clear at both ends. Some may not like the model in that it fits over the ear and has a longer boom. For me, I use my headset at home.
