Figured I'd share my thoughts for anyone who is on the fence about getting an i3

I've never liked the butterfly keyboard and the last machine I was working on was the 2019 MBP 13" which I just didn't love for some reason. Perhaps ergonomics, keyboard, expectations - I don't know.

What I do know is that I've been contemplating the new Air ever since it was announced. I had a 2018 version and was disappointed in the performance that it had. Considering that was an 1.6 and the new one is a 1.1 - I was really thinking I needed to get at least the i5 quad-core option.

But, stock is low everywhere and the only ones available are the 1.1 dual-core versions, so I got one this morning.

After setting it up and working on it for the last 4 hours, doing some Office work, browsing, social networking, music, sorting out my photos, some emailing, Skype and Google Drive - this thing feels faster than my 2018 and perhaps even as fast as my 1.4 MBP, which is a relief.

The keyboard is very nice and I can see myself using this machine for a few years without a problem. I can't compare it to the i5, but this is really all I need and I saved myself $400 (AUD) which went to a new set of headphones.
