Have a couple of noticeable scratches on a S4 aluminium screen.

Anyway to improve/fix the scratches? Watch is still under apple warranty, and I'm not interested in a screen replacement.

Nope. In fact I tried a sand paper attachment on my drill and it barely did anything. After I was done with the watch I thought I’d have some fun with it.

The answer is to take it to Apple and have it replaced under AppleCare - if you don’t want it fixed, then live with it.

No. There is no remedy to restore the display if it’s scratched. The Ion-X glass is the same material that the iPhone displays use, and once it’s embedded into the display, there’s nothing you can do about that, except replace the display all together.

You will see people selling solutions like Displex or "Use toothpaste" but they sometimes only hide the scratch temporarily or were designed for the old plastic screen days.

If it bugs you get it replaced. You can only try and make up some story about sticky crown or something.

There's a video on YouTube of Jerry rigs everything who replaced a cracked AW screen. Spoiler alert - it's as complicated as it gets.

I was thinking along those lines. still under the full warranty with apple. was half-hoping a software update would brick it .

I have ordered a glass screen protector for my S5! Not wanting to ever repeat this!

pretty sure apple care doesn't cover cosmetic scratches. if you want it covered, you'd be better off "accidentally" dropping and shattering the screen.
