Shortage Q?

Does anyone known if there will be a shortages this year on 3GS iphones this year like when the 3g iphones were release last july?

Yes there will be.

I doubt it, as most of those will still be locked to their 3G contracts and not happy about the idea of buying out the contract. There will be a certain number of 2G upgraders and new customers, but I think a lot of people will find this model prohibitively expensive... especially in the current economic climate.

I think an interesting question to ask is, when will apple cut off online sales of the 3G S? I ordered mine early yesterday morning fortunately.

Is the apple site saying no more phones available yet?
