Does anybody know if there is a keyboard shortcut or accent code for the lowercase delta character from the Greek alphabet?

The only way I can get it is by copying it from somewhere and then pasting it in, which gets rather cumbersome to have to do all the time. I would love to find a keyboard-only solution, if there is one.

TIA

Is ∂ a lowercase delta? It's Option-d.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I should have specified in my original post, the character I am looking for is δ

I knew about option-d for ∂, but that is the partial differential operator, which is not from the Greek alphabet. Unfortunately for me, it will not do the trick :( In the work I am doing both ∂ and δ each have a specific meaning, so I can't use one for the other.

I don't know what you're talking about ;)

(Seriously, you're too quick! I realised that I had the wrong character and deleted my post, but apparently not before you saw it!)

Haha, I can see, it looks like I've quoted a phantom post, thanks to macrumors instant email notification :p

Anyway, I do appreciate the attempted help, even if it was redacted. I admit that there was a time when I didn't realize the difference between those two characters.
