I am trying to figure out how to create a shortcut that will turn down my brightness after I've fallen asleep. Occassionaly (maybe too often) I wake up in the middle of the night, I turn on my iphone to check email, news, surf, etc. and am greeted by a very bright blinding light because I forgot to turn down the brightness before falling asleep. So I thought this would be a good task for a shortcut. It seemed straightforward to create automation using "Time of Day", "1:00am", and "Daily". Then action of "Brightness" "Set to 10%". However it seems that it will not kick off if the phone screen is turned off. What's the use in that???
Anyone else have another way to actually automate the brightness level lower? Note that I don't want it to lower the brightness when I am in "DND" mode since I am still awake, using my iphone, and only want it to lower the brightness after I'm done and am sleeping.
