I've been trying to create a shortcut for the Field Test Mode, which is used to show detailed information about cellular network, frequencies, signal etc...

To activate it normally, you need to type in or paste *3001#12345#* in the Phone app's keypad and hit the green call button - this opens the Field Test Mode app.

The simple and most obvious thing would be to create a contact entry, but when you do that and try to "call" this special code, it says "Call Failed".

So I've been trying to figure out if there is a way to automate this with shortcuts, but the options i''ve fiddled with result in the same thing, either having to pick a contact entry, or pre populate the phone app with the special code, but the actions fail with the same "Call Failed" message.

Can anyone offer a possible solution via shortcuts? I know there are a ton of options and I'm not a programmer so I dont know if there is logic or other ways that can trick shortcuts into placing this "call" with the special code.

Thanks in advance.

I keep looking, and I found this... could this be legit, or some kind of malware/backdoor? is there a way to verify what this is without running it?

Maybe the "FTMInternal-4.app" is a clue and a shortcut can be made to launch it?
