Close what?
Apple+W will normally close windows.
Apple+H will normally hide an application.
Apple+Q will normally quit an application.
Apple+W will normally close windows.
Apple+H will normally hide an application.
Apple+Q will normally quit an application.
Also, some apps like Firefox won't let you close the last window...so you have to cmd-shift-w to close it totally.
