Hi folks,

I've programmed a bunch of keyboard shortcuts on the F keys (print screen, show all windows etc) but I can't figure out how to open an application using an F key i.e. just hitting F5 to open Photoshop/Safari/whatever. Any suggestions ?

Thanks,

Alasdair

Welcome! :) I don't think that's a default feature of OS X. You can do a couple of things, though:

GlobalHotKey is a free application that does exactly what you're asking for. :)

Quicksilver is a very popular application that does something slightly different (basically lets you quickly launch apps with a couple of keystrokes, and also does a large number of other things).
