Is there a quick short-cut I can use or create that would allow me to immediately start adding a new note to Apple Notes? I also have Alfred installed but don't see a way of doing it through Alfred either.

Sometimes I just need to quickly jot something down and would love to have a shortcut way of doing this. Any ideas/suggestions?

Create a new note is one of the custom options in Control Center, but I find it's the same number of taps to open Notes and tap the new button.

Edited: oops, sorry ... just saw this is under macOS. My suggestion is for iPadOS/iOS. If Notes is in your Dock, and you open it and create a new Note, how much faster would you like the steps to be?

I prefer a keyboard shortcut which would take me right into typing the new note. I have my dock hidden so it needs to pop up, then I need to open notes, then I have to click another button to initiate a new note. Simple keyboard shortcut from anywhere on macOS would be awesome.

I was able to do this using the Better Touch Tools which allowed me to add a shortcut icon to the control strip on my touchbar. Sweet!
