“We recently discovered a manufacturing issue affecting a very limited number of iPhone 5S devices that could cause the battery to take longer to charge or result in reduced battery life,” said Teresa Brewer, an Apple spokeswoman. “We are reaching out to customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone.”

Kidding, but you know that Genius appts will double lol.

Thankfully I don't think I'm affected at all because my phone is the exact opposite.

I have outstanding battery life and my 5S seems to charge 50% faster than my 4S.

Evidently an issue only for a few. My 5S has been getting fantastic battery life. I've left it idle for 18 hours and only had the battery go down by 1%. None of my previous iPhones could even come near that.
