I realize that a bayou is something that a majority of the folks posting on this site don't get the pleasure of experiencing, so i'll share my recent shoot with you guys... feedback is welcome... this is part of the deep south, especially Louisiana, so enjoy...

Haha your right, I personally haven't seen many pictures of that. Thanks for sharing those are pretty nice shots. Honestly the only thing I could recall seeing the bayou would be in an old Scooby Doo cartoon when they were chasing a ghost down south in a haunted house on the bayou. :D Ruh Roh Scrappy.

Does the song "blue bayou" refers to this place?

Not really, this is north Louisiana... Blue Bayou, LA is actually a city in south LA (about 350 miles south of me), a suburb of Houma, which is about 50 miles southwest of New Orleans. I think that song is more referring to the city rather than the actual bayous of Louisiana.

Ahh.. I see, thanks for the clarification.

As many quirks as Louisiana has politically, I really like the area, some of it anyways. I live about 2 miles from the bayous so naturally we have a big boat and use it almost every weekend. I only found 1 recent pick. Its a bar/grill we stop at on a bayou around Manchac, La.

BTW its Boudreaux:p
