A process called coreaudiod is constantly taking up between 8 - 15% in the Processes pane of iStatPro on my MacBook Pro. I've never seen this process before until recently. Is this right? Anyone have experience with this?

I know the process should be running for audio reasons, but my question is whether it should be such a prominent process when I've never even seen it there before on my previous 3 MacBooks.
