Hey macrumors

i am the biggest apple fan out but i was wondering:
since apple wants to ditch google shouldn't they not make a maps app (especially since its free)

i was just wondering can anyone think of any negatives for google that could result of them not making a maps app. and would apple suffer heavily?

yeah i saw that. im saying why should google make one? i dont understand. wouldnt it be a detterent for ios. then people would want to go to android. and apple would be in deep trouble (not that id want that to ever happen)
im just curious why they want to make an app when there is no benefit from them apart from being loved (but that takes away from potential customer who would switch to android just for maps

they would rather people use their product then not use it...even if it means making an IOS version. Look at well they did with the youtube app

also i understand if apple doesnt allow that app they will be in trouble
but why would google want to submit an app (that they wouldnt even make money from?)

they are making money from ad revenue - same reason they released a stand alone youtube app
