I have a 6 month old iphone that I put up on craigslist for $400. It's unlocked, used, has a couple small scratches on the back, the original box and all the stuff that came with it, along with 2 cases. A guy just offered me $360... should I take it? Do you think I stand a chance at making anything more if I do ebay??

8gb? 16gb? If it was a 8gb I'd take it for sure. You won't get more on ebay for a 8gb. And honestly I would not even pay $360 when I could just buy a new one for $400...

What's the capacity?

6 month old has to be 8GB surely?

Cant remember how long 16GB been out?

Take it as fast as possible, particularly with the next rev by all educated guesses being right around the corner.

I would also be careful and don't do any stupid trades/sales.. Don't accept money orders, or shipping of the iPhone. Go to an open area where a lot of people are and ways away from your place. Accept only cash, and be sure to bring a friend or two.

Some people over high because they know they can bait you in, then either try to scam you or mug you during the transaction. Not trying to scare you, just trying to inform you. Please do be careful.

Very true... nice catch. Then the OP should take $360 cause I don't know anyone who would be crazy not to just spend another $40 for a new one...

not entirely true...

$360 is straight cash, most of us have to pay sales tax on a brand new one and that is another $32 in my city.

I'd buy with a $70 price cut for a near mint used phone.

But... I wouldn't do it knowing their is a revision right around the corner so take the money and run.

Well let me clarify that I would spend a little extra for a perfect phone that is new and free of any scratches. ;)

take it. i see the iphones starting to sell for $200 to $250 more and more now on our local craigslist.
