Sorry, I searched Google for a while, and i'm still not sure. I'm sure this has been answered before, I just can't seem to find a clear cut answer.

I just sold my iPhone, I have to ship it out tomorrow.

I wiped it clean.

Should I activate it so the buyer can basically use it as a iTouch right out of the box, or should I just leave it so they have to plug it into iTunes and register it?

I just can't tell if the act of registering it puts me at risk, or my information with AT&T.

Thanks.

You should restore it and when iTunes says "Leave the iPhone connected it will restart and appear in iTunes. This message will dismiss itself in 10 seconds" you unplug the iPhone. When it turns back on, just turn it off again and ship it out. That way the buyer gets a like new fresh OS on it.
