So, I'm playing a Shockwave Flash game. For some reason, I can hear the computer fan. This is probably normal; but it sounds a bit more high pitched. Should I be worried?

It sounds a bit like a hair-drier, unlike the usual blowing.

Flash stresses your processor pretty heavily. Your system is most likely just hot and the fan is running hard to cool it down. Install smcFanControl to keep an eye on CPU temp and fan speed, if you like.

Ok. Just wondering, since I've played 3D MMOGs and it's not made that particular hair-drier noise; although I could hear the fan, just not as high-pitched.
