hey everyone , I'm able to buy the latest brand new imac 24in 2.4ghz model for 1400 dollars. Does not have leopard installed though. Does it sound like a good price. Also do the new imacs get extremely hot with long use of times vs the mini? thanks

That's a pretty hot deal right there. Even if you buy Leopard for it, it'll come out to a grand total of $1529 - a savings of around $300. :D

well where are u buying it?

from a friend, he has more for sell. if anyone is interested let me know

can anyone tell me how hot the new imacs get? I have a mini and could just buy a 24in screen instead. any suggestions?

Even without Leopard, $400 off a system that's been updated recently is a steal. Score one for you. Your friend must have good connections to have multiple units to sell at such a price.

Had a mini, had tons of trouble (probably asking too much of it), took it back (to the tune of a 25% restocking fee) to get a 20" iMac and now am a Mac lover. I run my iMac all day with Photoshop CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, an ftp client, one or two browsers, mail, a font manager, iPhoto and adium and it NEVER gets hot. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

should i buy a imac

i could get a 24 in 2.4ghz new iMac but is it worth it with all the freezing issues? Is it every model or just a select few of them?
