i bought the 13 inch mbp last year after it was updated with sandy bridge. it has been a fantastic machine. others are right... if you can wait a week or two, there might be more information about the future of the 13 mbp. the updated integrated graphics would be interesting to have.

then again, look how long it took apple to update the 13 inch model before last year. it might not be refreshed this year. but given how apple is increasing update cycles (os, for example), they might begin updating everything more regularly.

Hope they wont change the design of the MBP too much, and especially not to look more like the MBA. Hate the designs of the MBA...
I could actually see myself buying a late 2012 MBP if I don't like how the new MBP design looks.

I was planning to get the mbp tomorrow.. But scared that i will regret of making this decision in the future.. Feel so stupid lol...
Btw if i buy tomorrow, it considered as late 2011 mbp?

It should be a late 2011. I bought mine in February and its a late 2011.

Buy if you need it, if not wait a bit. I'm actually afraid they are going to make it too much like the Air or combine the two. The current 13" MBP has MANY major advantages over the 13" MBA that I would not want to lose. It might make the last generation (early 2011 and late 2011) 13" MBP even more valuable to some.

If you really need the computer now, then look for in the Apple refurbished store. I wouldn't buy a brand new one this late in its life cycle.

The advantage of waiting is even if you decide the new one is not what you want, the current one will have reduced in price so you won't have waited for nothing. I personally would wait as long as I had a computer that could get me by, but if you really need one just get it now unless you are someone who always feels they need to have the newest generation (which is frankly unsustainable for most of us, I'm sure).

This pretty much sums it up nicely

you should wait until 2020 because there is a new refresh that you can wear them as glasses :p

you may as well wait for ever!

I think the announcement happening this april is for iphone/ipod refreshes, even if you bought one now you have 30 days to return, what you got to loose?

I made a purchase of a 13 inch i5 2.3ghz for $980 ( it was a refurb ) then I saw them all gone within moments and all is left is the 1k plus 13' pros.
