I'm interested in buying a 27" Thunderbolt Display from Apple sometime this week but should I buy one now or wait for the new one to come out? Though there's not much they can do to the screen to improve it?

All macs are about to feature usb 3 as standard,so I'd expect the displays USB to be upgraded to 3 as well.

Damnit! I just bought my display. But I'm not sure I care for USB 3 on the display.

Does a Thunderbolt Cable come in the 27" Thunderbolt Display box or does the cable need to be bought separately?

If you want one now, buy one now.

If it's a thunderbolt display, via a thunderbolt cable & the thunderbolt port on the mini.
As long as the Thunderbolt cable comes with the Thunderbolt Display then all is good XD

Cheers, will pick one up Thursday! :apple:

There are rumours of an anti-reflective coating for the iMac. If that happens, it will probably also appear on the Thunderbolt Display.

Of course there is no certainty over this, or timeline. However, you wouldn't be considering a Thunderbolt Display if it was a problem.

Outside of that or USB3, there is unlikely to be any updates for a while. Apple monitors tend to last quite a while before updates as there are no processors or other components that are on short update cycles.

Okay thanks and true; I very rarely plug any USB devices into my Mac anyway. So I'm not bothered about USB 3.

Thanks for your input :)
