Should I buy a USB 3.0 hub if i dont have any 3.0 devices?

The title says it all. All my devices connect to USB 2.0, but should i buy this?

Will it work even if it plugs into the USB 2.0 port on my macbook?
Will my devices work?
If they do, will they speed up?
