I have some points at Amazon so was thinking of getting Crucial 8gb (4gb X2) from there. Should I buy this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008LTBITY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER But there are no reviews etc there.
Or should I get directly from Crucial website for Macbook Pro 13" 2.5 mid 2012.

And please can you recommend a good and reliable set of Screwdrivers that would work for replacing Ram and HDD ect in Mac from Amazon? I found one are they good? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FGQ1G6/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&smid=A2FYHGC4NSM6WF

I got mine from Crucial directly, and was happy.

I don't know if they have it on Amazon, but I got this awesome screwdriver that came with a whole bunch of Torx heads (the kind of tip you need for the MacBook HardDrive), I don't think you need any screws for the RAM.

FWIW, it’s $$ by $7. I bought my 8gb stick from corsair 7 months ago for $30 on Amazon when it was sale (I also had $10 rebate). My wife just bought hers for $42 (same as mine). Never had problems.

Re: TOOLS for RAM Replacement..

All you will need is a GOOD Phillips #00 Screwdriver, nothing more for RAM replacement.. using a crappy tool is a great way to wreck the wee-screws. don't do that!! If you have an electronics Repair Supply store nearby I would try there..

iFixit has lots of Tools as well as Videos on MAC fixes.. Any Unibody MAC is the same for RAM Replace.. Simple, just remember to 'ground yourself' to the metal case by touching it before touching the RAM chips!!

And other than that, if you are keeping the computer for a few years, maybe consider the 16GB Kit, they are crazy cheap now too, while you are opening it up!! Good Luck and Enjoy!!

On my 2011 MBP, I had that model RAM.

Based on that link, I also saw Kingston finally has a 16GB kit:

http://www.amazon.com/1600MHz-PC3-1...1&sr=1-18&keywords=8gb+RAM+1600+hyperx+laptop

Had I seen that, I might have bought it as Kingston has tended to be very reliable - but the Corsair Vengeance kit was $60 less and passed diagnostic tests:

http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Venge...X16GX3M2A1600C10/dp/B0076W9Q5A/ref=pd_cp_pc_0
(and the price went down $5 between the time I ordered it and now. One week. )

Buy from whichever vendor offers it for a cheaper price. If the prices are the same, choose the site with the better shipping estimate.

Both Kingston and Coraair are great. The difference between the HyperX and the Vengeance is the HyperX has a CL of 9 and the HyperX has a CL of 10 making the HyperX faster, but not $60 faster.

I tried buying directly from Crucial and not able to checkout as website gives me error. will try again later otherwise will buy from Amazon.

So not many screwdriver sets suggestion from Amazon? I know what kind of tools are needed but i have no idea which would be reliable in sense dun strip screws. So want safe ones but from Amazon and around $10-$15

I got my crucial ram (16gb) from Amazon and paid about 40% less than the same ram on the crucial website. Might have been a one time deal though. Haven't seen it as cheap since.
