I have a 1.5 Ghz G4 Mini with 512 RAM (A gig piece is on its way), and I'm really wanting to upgrade from iLife '05. Of particular interest to me are the new versions of Garageband and iPhoto. I realize that iMovie '08 won't run on my computer, but being able to download HD 6 is still a big improvement.

I know my mac meets the requirements for the other software, but I wonder if anyone here has tried running the suite on hardware similar to mine. I would love to get the new upgrades, but if it runs slower than dirt, I may have to reconsider.

If any of you have had experience with this, please let me know!

The RAM is going to be your #1 problem. When I had 512MB in my Core Duo mini, garageband 08 seemed to run pretty frickin slow. Its upgraded to 2GB now and its flying high. Upgrade the RAM and then iLife 08 is a great idea (given you need the new features)

Yeah, I've already ordered 1 gig of RAM (which is maxing out on this computer) with iLife '08 in mind, though I don't really need an excuse to upgrade my memory.
