i really want to buy an ipod touch.. but i heard rumors that ipod touch 3rd generation is coming out soon..
do you guys think i should wait.. or buy the 2nd generation?

if you are a student and on the market for a new computer, buy one now and get the rebate on the current touch.

If you do not need one this summer, wait until September. If you want one now, find out when the 3.0 software will be released so that you don't have to drop the $9.99 upgrade price.

I'd wait until the next-gen comes out, which is as soon as the back-to-school special clears out the older inventory.
