Earth. I think.
I found a refurb white MacBook (6,1) at a reseller. It's $650, not including sales tax. I've been thinking about getting it, since it would be a way for me to get a Mac without breaking the bank. As far as I know, the white MacBooks will run Lion, but how well? And will this one run Mountain Lion? It's only got 2G of RAM; can I upgrade the RAM in this machine?

What do you all think? Should I go ahead and bite or wait for a mbp?

Thanks!

Would make for a pretty good replacement for that iBook you've got there. Don't get me wrong I'm a fellow PPC lover but having a newer machine does make even basic web browsing a lot easier and enjoyable.

It will be a great replacement to the ibook. That machine should last you sometime and will serve you well. I assume you know the limitations of MacBooks, i.e. gaming etc etc. The price is decent but if you want something more future proof i recommend going pro 2009+
