ocz is said to produce the some of if not the fastest ssds out there. i have never owned one but i hear that they are still quite reliable, although intel ssds are much more so. so it comes down to what you personally prefer - speed(vertex) or reliability(intel).

i know that you mentioned nothing about intentions to purchase an intel ssd but this is a thread on whether or not you should buy the vertex 3 of course, so it's something to take into consideration. hope this helps.
 
I hope so to! I just bought a Intel 320 as well to replace my 500gb 5400 rpm drive. I had a 7200 rpm in my other pc laptop and it is considerably faster than the 5400 rpm that use to be in it. If the SSD is anywhere close to the difference between the 5400 and the 7200, I am in for a treat.
