Should I cancel my Amazon order for iWork '09?

Need a bit of advice please!

I pre-ordered the family pack of iWork '09 from Amazon UK on 16th January. At time of ordering it said it would be dispatched on or before 31st January 2009.

Had an email this morning telling me that the item is now out of stock with no indication of when new stock will be arriving. It gave me the option to cancel the order.

If the online Apple store can meet Amazon's £85 price and offer 24 hour dispatch then is it worth just cancelling the order from Amazon and ordering direct from Apple or have Apple got the same supply problems?

Has anyone else received this email from Amazon UK?

I assumed that 'pre-ordering' meant you were first in line for receiving iWork? Unless no one else has received their family packs yet?

Cancel Amazon & go for Apple, as Apple charges £85 and ships in 24 hrs.

I emailed Amazon asking if they had further details (even just a rough estimate) of delivery dates.

Unfortunately I only got some lame automated message back saying the item was out of stock. Seriously, Amazon suck. They are fast becoming the Micro$oft of the retail world.

Order cancelled. Getting it from Apple instead.
