Should I Cancel My Online Order? (UK)

So I ordered around 9am BST when the UK Apple Store was back up.

I bought an iPhone 6 64GB with my US Credit Card. At the time of order it said it would be delivered on the 19th, however once I received my confirmation email, it said processing and that it would be dispatched in 7-10 days and delivered between Sep 29-Oct 2.

I contacted Apple Chat and they suggested to do an instore pickup if still available and cancel whichever one later I didn't want. I got the phone I wanted reserved at an Apple store for the evening on the 19th. However I was told that my bank card was already authorized for the online pre-order.

Should I wait to see if the shipping times improve or should I just cancel the online order now as I have a confirmed reservation for pick up, and give my bank plenty of time to release the hold on funds.

The only thing that gives me pause is the reserve for pick asked for the following:

1. Your bank information.
You’ll need a valid UK bank card to verify your address and set up a direct debit.
2. An official photo ID.
Make sure you bring along your UK driving licence or a valid UK or international passport.
3. Your current mobile phone.
If you’re upgrading from another iPhone, remember to back up your data to your computer or iCloud. You’ll also want to take note of your Apple ID. We can even give you credit for your old iPhone towards the purchase of a new one.

I live in the UK and have a UK bank card, but only my US passport and ID. I wanted to use a US Credit Card to make the purchase. These instructions sound as if I'm getting a contract, but I'm just going sim-free and will pop in my current sim card from my iPhone 5 when I get there.
