Tomorrow i'm going to return my iPhone for a exchange because of a few problems with it. At the same time i might try and get a different color but i'm just not sure if i should, i have the white atm.

The white is original and stands out but it has 2 colors.
The black is sleek but not original.

So should i switch or stay, help me out macrumors member decide on a color.

I would get Black but seriously, if you can't make this decision for yourself then something is seriously wrong.

Id go with black. White just doesnt click well with the chrome bezel and black screen.

I would stick with what you have, it is personal preference, there is no need for a thread asking, you should pick for yourself. But to be honest, there is practically no chance of them letting you swap the device for a different color, they would have to go in and switch all of your warranty information, so don't get your hopes up.

You can switch colors, its not a big deal. Ive had friends do it.

it matters? all you read about on the forums here is what cases is the best so I've never understood why color matters. :D

I prefer the black because I didn't like the 2 colors on the white.

If you want your phone to stand out more, get one of the Gelskins

Bottom line, get what you want.

Really? I just bought my iPhone a few days ago, didn't think it would be a big deal. I'm still in the 14 days of purchase so i think its possible? I don't know.

Well, if you are within the 14 days of purchase, then you could always fully return it and then purchase another one of the different color.

I don't get why people complain about the back being a different color than the front. The first gen. iPhone had a two-tone silver and black aluminum back with a glossy black front...

Macrumors, where there's an LOL in every pOLL.

This is right up there with the best and brightest polls of late, which include;

"What should I have for lunch the day I get my iPhone?"

"Do you miss the polishing cloth?"

"Should I get insurance for my earbuds?"

"What firmware version are your cracks?"

"Best day of the week to jailbreak?"

and my all time favorite poll question, "Help!".

You should wait until X-Mas time when they release red.

Well, maybe those didnt look as good as all one color with chrome accents either. IMO the all black looks way to sleek to not have. The white looks nice but the 3 tone color kills it even more so then the 1st gen because at least silver and aluminum look went together better then white, chrome, and black.

Actually, the bottom of the iPhone was black. I will stick with the white iPhone 3G.
