Should I clean install

Is there any reason I should clean install Lion ?

Programs I use:
Safari
itunes
iWork
iLife
MS Office Mac
Parallels with Bootcamp Windows 7

If I do a clean install, can I use time machine to simply put my programs back to applications in Lion, or do you have to install them from original again ?
