Hey guys I'm hoping you all can give me some advice

I order the basic 15" Macbook Pro on May 7th from my University Bookstore (Virginia Tech) because it was the best deal I could find. They said they would call me when it came in, probably in a couple of weeks. Around May 23, I went back to the bookstore to ask when they thought it would be in. Found out it wasn't shipping till May 30...I was a bit ticked.

Finally this past Tuesday rolled around with the new Macbook Pros being released. Went by the bookstore and they were like ohh yea Apple must had held your order because they knew it was coming out. Thats great and all, but this is my first switch to a Mac and I'm dying to get the laptop and would have been happy with the old one. (Closest Apple store is 3 hours away and with the University plan I save at least 300 bucks)

Today I was informed from the bookstore that Apple has upgraded my Macbook Pro to the new one, but according to their email its not shipping till June 18th!!! :(

Do you guys think I should contact Apple, even though I have none of the details, like tracking information, and ask them if there is any way I could get it faster? I wanted it 3 weeks ago, so I could use CS3 for my thesis cause I'm on a crappy 5 year old Thinkpad right now.

I would of driven to an Apple Store or ordered online if it wasn't such an awesome deal with the bookstore: The basic new 15" Macbook Pro is only $1775 including applecare.

It doesn't hurt to ask. You are getting a good price. The educational price (for my school) for the 2.2GHz 15" is $2038, incl. AppleCare, not including tax.
