Should i do a fresh install for lion on my 2011 mbp

I have a 2011 mbp 17 inch, and I only have starcraft downloaded and a couple of movie files. I have had it for about 6months now, and was wondering if I should do a fresh install of lion.

I don't want my computer to slow down " even a couple of seconds" and im afraid that will happen if I don't do a clean install.

could someone advise me what to do, also could someone post a link of how to do a fresh install properly. " also with a fresh install will I have to reinstall snow leopard then lion?"

I just recently did a fresh install of Lion after swapping in a SSD. Ran snow leopard on the previous HDD for about 5 months as well. Definetely runs alot smoother now, obviously the SSD helps alot too.

You can just wipe SL and install Lion over the HDD

i upgraded my 2011 15" mbp to lion like the first day it came out, and ever since i feel like my mbp has been slowing down, im not sure if im going crazy, but i would love to do a clean install to, would i have to pay for lion again?
