should i do a fresh install of 10.6 on brand new mbp?

Hi.
My new Macbook Pro is on Fedex truck for delivery.
It's been a while since I've gotten a brand new computer. Back in the Tiger days, I did a fresh install right out of the box on my then-new MBP in order to leave out localization files and printer drivers to save space.
Is there any benefit to doing something like this with Snow Leopard?

Absolutely no need to. There's nothing to be gained. You can get rid of extra languages and platform support with Monolingual.
