So I have two ways of (potentially) getting an unlocked phone....
1. I can buy the phone outright with Verizon through my wife's account (she doesn't care about renewing her contract again since she just bought her phone a couple of months ago). That way, I can get the Verizon version of the phone and it will be factory unlocked on the GSM networks.
2. Buy the T-Mobile version who the Geniuses at the Apple Store swear is locked into the T-Mobile network.
One is a sure-fire way of getting it, and the other way is possible if what everyone on here claims to be true (the T-Mobile version is always unlocked). What would you guys do if you were in my shoes?
Personally, I would just get the Verizon version. Since my contract is up, I have the ability to go to any network I want with my own phone.
