Should I enable TRIM or not on a Samsung 470 running Lion?

I'm not really an expert so any advice would be helpful.

Why should or shouldn't I enable TRIM on my Samsung 470?
What difference does it make?
Is it needed?

And also, I have money to waste so I bought 8GB RAM the other day. Will there be a difference in performance? I usually use Safari, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, iTunes and Skype all at the same time.
The "Swap used" usually goes over 1GB sometimes more.

From what I have read, the garbage collection on the 470 drive is pretty damn good. However, if you plan on using your drive near to capacity, I would enable TRIM since you wont have time/space to wait for GC.
