still says I'm at 95 percent with this battery, but overnight it went from 80 to 58% I rarely use my phone so I can go like two days and it be at 64 percent or so, after 1 night I woke up and it was already down to 58. It's an Iphone 12 and wondering should I get the 14 or a new battery

If it's just a one-time occurence, then I wouldn't worry. Software glitches can sometimes cause an app to drain the battery overnight. It happened to me occasionally. Once it was TuneIn, which I had used in the car with CarPlay and which, for some unknown reason, continued to work in the background for hours after getting out of the car. It hadn't done that before, and hasn't since. Another time it was Find My, which had a lot of overnight activity for no reason. Again, it hadn't done it before and hasn't done it since.

I doubt that a two year old battery is at the end of its life already. Close all open apps, restart the phone, and keep an eye on it. If it doesn't do it again, you're good.

As others have said, I would probably not worry about that after one time. Try to see if an app caused it and go from there, if it occurs regularly, then it might be a bug. I know in 16.2 there is a location service bug that is affecting some user's battery life negatively when Find My Iphone is enabled.

On a side note, I upgraded from a 12 Pro to a 14 Pro. I don't have any regrets but it is not honestly a big jump. If you are sure that the battery is having issues, it is cheaper to replace the battery. One thing to note though, at 95%, your battery still is in pretty good shape. I would not expect anything major until you are around the 80% mark.
