I would like to use the macbook for college and some gaming. Some of these games would be Sims 3, Assassins Creed, and hopefully Crysis, if not its okay. whats better a faster hard drive or a bigger one???

Also, off topic, I'm going to buy the new 16gb iPhone, which iTouch should I get 8 or 16, or should I just get the classic?

thanks

Get the 2.8GHz model since it has 6mb of cache as to the 3mb of cache in the 2.66GHz model. Also 2.8GHz model has 512mb of vram as well.

Trust me jumping from 3mb of cache to 6mb of cache is MUCH faster overall with the os.

I agree with the 3MB difference in L2 to be worth the upgrade!

But am I crazy or didnt the 2.66 they just had in this laptop and in the 17" have 6MB? They just do a different version of that clock speed?

The difference between 3MB and 6MB cache in actual real-world speed is small. The 5% difference in speed is also small, but may be more noticeable.

Ugh yeah they are using a new chip which makes no sense or the specs are a typo. I noticed typos on the iPhone spec sheet as well.

The 2.66 in my macbook now has 6mb L2 cache.
