Should i get the 2015 15 inch with Iris Pro only or with the AMD chip?

So im going to return my 2016 15 inch for the 2015 model. The 2016 was great but i dont really care for the touchbar and i use bootcamp and an external display a lot so i don't like the unnecessary heat that came from the gpu. This is why im leaning toward the iris pro only. I also dont game on my laptop either.


The main usage will be Ableton Live on the OSX side and FL studio while bootcamping. Both of which do not require a dgpu.


Also, for anyone here with the 2015 15 inch. When its not using the dgpu, does the laptop ever get hot/noisy? What I like about the 2016 is that its pretty cool and quiet when on the igpu

I think you're fine then without a dedicated ship, although I would tell you that the resale would be better/easier down the road with a dedicated card should you want to take that route.

Thank you! Also i think im probably gonna end up giving the macbook pro to my mom or sister rather than reselling (Whenever the time comes)
