Should I get the 2015 15''MBP or 2016 13''MBP

The only thing which is not 100% reliable is the keyboard on the 2016. The 2017 is a bit better but still not as reliable as the 2015.
So buy AppleCare. But most of the times a cleaning with compressed air fixes keys.
Performance wise a 12" MB would be more than enough for ur use.
No need to go quadcore whatsoever.
