I'm selling my phone online and someone asked for these numbers so they could verify the phone with sprint. Is it safe to give to them?

Its possible that someone could use those numbers to activate service on the device if it is not currently activated.

The question is though, why would they do it? Well, maybe they could get insurance on it, and file a claim...Then they will have an iPhone 5 for the price of the deductible.

You can give them your MEID, they use that to check to make sure there are no blocks on the phone (same thing as an IMEI) but do not give out your ICCID.
